1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using nRide's platform, website, and mobile applications (collectively, "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this Service.

nRide reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any time and for any reason. We will notify users of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on nRide's Service for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license, you may not:

  • Modify or copy the materials
  • Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
  • Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on nRide's Service
  • Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
  • Transmit the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion or feature of the Service
  • Create derivative works based on the Service

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of nRide, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Behaving respectfully toward drivers and other users
  • Reporting any unauthorized access to your account immediately

4. Rider Terms

4.1 Service Booking

Riders agree to:

  • Provide accurate pickup and dropoff locations
  • Be ready at the pickup location at the scheduled time
  • Inform the driver of any special requirements before the ride begins
  • Treat the vehicle and driver with respect
  • Follow all traffic laws and driver instructions
  • Not consume alcohol or any prohibited substances during the ride
  • Not eat or drink (except water) inside the vehicle unless permitted by the driver
  • Not engage in disruptive or abusive behavior

4.2 Safety & Conduct

Riders must not:

  • Damage or tamper with the vehicle in any way
  • Leave personal items in the vehicle
  • Request the driver to break traffic laws
  • Disclose the driver's personal information
  • Engage in illegal activities

4.3 Liability for Damages

Riders are responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by their actions or negligence. nRide reserves the right to charge the rider's account for repairs.

5. Driver Terms

5.1 Driver Requirements

To become an nRide driver, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (or the legal driving age in your jurisdiction)
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Have a vehicle that meets our safety and condition standards
  • Pass a background check
  • Maintain a valid vehicle registration and insurance
  • Have a clean driving record

5.2 Driver Conduct

Drivers agree to:

  • Maintain a 4.5-star minimum rating or risk account suspension
  • Provide professional and courteous service
  • Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations
  • Arrive on time for pickups
  • Respect riders' privacy and personal space
  • Not engage in discriminatory behavior
  • Not request tips or accept cash payments directly

5.3 Vehicle Requirements

Drivers' vehicles must:

  • Be no older than 15 years (or as per local regulations)
  • Pass regular safety inspections
  • Be clean and in good working condition
  • Have functioning air conditioning and heating
  • Be properly registered and insured

6. Payment & Cancellation

6.1 Payment Terms

  • Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and demand
  • Prices may surge during high-demand periods
  • Payment is processed through our secure payment system
  • Receipts will be provided via email

6.2 Cancellation Policy

  • Riders may cancel free of charge if they cancel before the driver starts moving
  • Cancellations after driver pickup may incur a cancellation fee
  • No-show fees may apply if the rider is not at the pickup location
  • Drivers may cancel rides without penalty if no rider has been picked up

6.3 Refunds

Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days for eligible requests. nRide reserves the right to investigate claims before issuing refunds.

7. Limitation of Liability

nRide is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, nRide disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

In no event shall nRide, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

nRide's total liability is limited to the amount paid for the ride that gave rise to the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless nRide, its founders, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms and Conditions
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party
  • Any harm you cause to others or their property

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting our support team at support-us@nride.co.

9.2 Binding Arbitration

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in English and held at a mutually agreed-upon location.

9.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action, collective action, or representative action.

10. Modifications to Terms

nRide reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
